Call for Participants: Global Cultural Leadership Programme (ENG)

GLOBAL CULTURAL LEADERSHIP is the training programme of new Cultural Diplomacy Platform launched by the European Commission last March in order to implement a new Strategy for international cultural relations. 

Its goal is to support young cultural managers from the European Union and ten EU Strategic Partners ( Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, India, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and the USA) to develop and strength their cultural leadership skills.

The project is lead by the Goethe-Institut with the participation of BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts, British Council, EUNIC Global, Institut français, and the European Cultural Foundation.

This first Global Cultural Leadership Programme will take place in Valletta, Malta from October 16–21 in parallel to the 7th IFACCA World Summit on Arts and Culture.The 40 participants of the Global Cultural Leadership Programme (3 professionals from each of the ten strategic countries + 10 EU-based peers) will come from different fields of relevant cultural practice in their countries and represent sectors that are specifically interested in reaching out with their work globally. 

Five leading European experts and educators are developing a specific tutorial approach with innovative training methodologies: Lluís Bonet Agustí (University of Barcelona), Milena Dragicevic Sesic (Arts Belgrad), Sue Kay (University of Exeter), Martin Zierold (Karlshochschule) and Philipp Dietachmair (ECF).

The call of application is now open until August 1st. All travel and accommodation costs for participants of the Global Learning Programme will be covered by the Cultural Diplomacy Platform.

GLOBAL CULTURAL LEADERSHIP es el programa de formación de la nueva plataforma de Diplomacia Cultural lanzada por la Comisión Europea el pasado mes de marzo con el fin de poner en práctica una nueva estrategia para internacional las relaciones culturales.

Su objetivo es apoyar a jóvenes gestores culturales de la Unión Europea y diez socios estratégicos de la UE (Brasil, Canadá, China, Japón, India, México, Rusia, Sudáfrica, Corea del Sur y EE.UU.) para desarrollar y fortalecer su capacidad de liderazgo culturales.

El proyecto está dirigido por el Goethe-Institut con la participación de BOZAR Centro de Bellas Artes, Consejo Británico, EUNIC Global, Instituto Francés, y la Fundación Cultural Europea. 

Este primer Programa Global de Liderazgo Cultural tendrá lugar en La Valetta, Malta a partir de octubre 16-21 paralelamente a la 7ª Cumbre Mundial sobre Arte y Cultura de IFACCA . Los 40 participantes del Programa de Liderazgo Cultural Mundial (3 profesionales de cada uno de los diez países estratégicos + 10 compañeros UE) vendrán de diferentes ámbitos de la práctica cultural relevante en sus países y representan sectores que están especialmente interesados en alcanzar hacia fuera con su trabajar a nivel mundial.

Cinco destacados expertos y educadores europeos están desarrollando un enfoque tutorial específico con metodologías innovadoras de formación: Lluís Bonet Agustí (Universidad de Barcelona), Milena Dragicevic Sesic (Artes Belgrad), Sue Kay (Universidad de Exeter), Martin Zierold (Karlshochschule) y Philipp Dietachmair (ECF).

La llamada de solicitud está abierta hasta el 1 de agosto de 2016. Todos los gastos de viaje y alojamiento de los participantes del programa de aprendizaje global serán cubiertos por la Plataforma Cultural Diplomacy.
